Transparency is key to holding government officials accountable and ensuring there is no corruption, so New Jersey’s Open Public Records Act (OPRA) and Open Public Meeting Act (OPMA) are very important tools for activists, concerned citizens, and media. Learn how to submit an OPRA request, why it is important for municipalities to open meetings to the public, and other accountability strategies.

She is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of the ACLU of New Jersey and performs significant pro bono work on a variety of civil rights issues. Ms. Griffin is also the Immediate Past Chair of the LGBT Rights Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and previously served on the Essex County LGBTQ Advisory Board.
