CJ Griffin, partner and director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., and vice president of ACLU of New Jersey, was named in the Top 10 on Insider NJ’s Fourth Annual 2021 Insider Out 100 LGBTQ Power List. Griffin shares the “Co-10” spot with “ACLU-NJ’s remarkably talented triumvirate” which also includes Jeanne LoCicero III, Legal Director of ACLU of New Jersey, and Karen Thompson, Senior Staff Attorney of ACLU of New Jersey. Compiled by Jay Lassiter, the list is a tribute to politically influential LGBTQs in New Jersey politics. In recognizing Griffin, Insider NJ stated,
When they argue before the New Jersey Supreme Court, it’s not uncommon for CJ Griffin to hear justices cite precedents with deeply familiar names. That’s because CJ personally argued many of them. CJ is known for their historic, pioneering work in open government cases, but their groundbreaking work extends beyond those cases. When it comes to racial justice, freedom of the press, free speech, LGBTQ rights, privacy, police accountability, and countless other issues, CJ has strengthened the rights of New Jerseyans and made New Jersey better.
