CJ Griffin Quoted in NJ.com Article, “Sex Crime Victims Should Have Easier Path to Restraining Orders, N.J. Supreme Court Rules”
CJ Griffin, partner and director of the Justice Gary S. Stein Public Interest Center at Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C., was recently quoted in an NJ.com article titled, “Sex Crime Victims Should Have Easier Path to Restraining Orders, N.J. Supreme Court Rules.” The article discusses a recent decision from New Jersey’s highest court, ruling that victims of sexual crimes in New Jersey should have a clear and less burdensome path to obtaining final protective orders against their attackers under the Sexual Assault Survivor Protection Act. CJ Griffin argued the case as a friend of the court on behalf of Partners for Women and Justice, a non-profit public interest law firm that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
“The decision also recognizes that survivors of sexual assault know best about how an act of sexual violence has impacted them and what is needed to keep them safe,” said Griffin.
