Justin Walder Appointed to New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Extrajudicial Activities

We are  pleased to share that the New Jersey State Bar Association has designated Justin Walder as its representative to the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Extrajudicial Activities.

The purpose of this group is to explore whether the current bright-line prohibitions on judges taking part in any fundraising event as an honored guest, speaker, toastmaster, or entertainer or in any other significant capacity, should be modified.  The cornerstone of the inquiry will be maintaining judicial impartiality, avoiding the improper encouragement of donors to contribute to a particular cause, and preventing attempts to curry favor with a judge.
