Pashman Stein Walder Hayden P.C. Sponsors Charity Cornhole Tournament to Support the Fight Against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
On March 2, 2019, Pashman Stein Walder Hayden was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2nd Annual VeronaTogether Charity Cornhole Tournament in Verona, New Jersey. The 2019 tournament was held in support of Connor Barshay, a Verona 6th grader who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Connor and his family chose to have all proceeds from the event go to Jett Foundation, a Massachusetts-based charity devoted to finding a cure for Duchenne and supporting Duchenne patients. One of Jett’s signature programs is Camp Promise, a free week-long summer camp for kids with Duchenne.
Connor does not let Duchenne define him and is a budding chef who recently started his own small-batch hot sauce business, called Connor’s Saucery. Pashman Stein Walder Hayden was honored to be the “hot sauce sponsor” for the event so that all 128 participants could enjoy two bottles of Connor’s hot sauce, including an extra hot recipe he created just for the occasion. The firm also donated Giants tickets for the silent auction. Our very own commercial litigator, Brendan Walsh helped organize the event, which raised more than $23,000 for Jett, and presented the ceremonial check to Connor’s parents at the end of the tournament.
